Working moms are not new to us anymore. As a matter of fact, the number of working or career mothers is gradually growing. With the economic condition nowadays, most mothers opt to work as well to help bring extra income for the family. This may be helpful for the income but let’s face it, the time for kids is lessened and the relationship is affected. Since both parents are busy at work, tendency is that kids could be closer to nannies or try to find other people whom they could share their problems with and more often than not they find the wrong peers and they end up into bad vices especially with the teen kids. Don’t; let this to happen. Here are simple things that a mom can do:

No matter how tired you may be at work, find time to check on your kids; ask how their day was, how is it going in school and as a mom know what’s bothering your kid so you would know how to help them. As much as possible, never bring any work at home- leave everything in the office and just spend time with your kids at night if it’s quite impossible ion the day time. Prepare good dinner for this is the time when all the family could get together and share the ups and downs of the day. On weekends, go to church or watch movies together so for them to realize the value of family togetherness. A smart mom knows these are the right things to have quality time with the kids.
