From my sweet little angel

Date Posted: October 10th, 2009 Posted Under: Babies

A lot of us become so sentimental at times and would like to keep all memories of wonderful and important events in our lives. So we keep old photos of our son’s first communion, or your daughter’s graduation or maybe even your first baby’s first smile. It feels so good looking at them and remembering the past. Now, aside from photos, there is another fun and more creative way of keeping good memories; tokens or favors.

Favors are widely used in weddings, birthdays, baby showers, corporate events and all the other special events that you can think of. One event where favors are used is during a baby’s special day. I’ve once attended a baby dedication and was so impressed with the parents’ choice of token. I’ve seen and received a lot of them but I may say that this one I recently received was unique. You’re an events organizer and would like to come up with a very good favor for your client’s baby; do you already have any idea where to get best ones, Bellissimo baby favors is the solution to that problem. Babies are always special so make those favors as special as these sweet little angels.

5 Easy Tips to Help Your Little One Use the Potty

Date Posted: July 11th, 2009 Posted Under: Babies

Potty training for girls can be a bit of a daunting task for many first time parents who want to make the task as simple as possible but don’t really know how to get started. Luckily, statistics show that girls are actually easier to toilet train than little boys, but knowing when to start and just what to do can still be a challenging task.

Overall, potty training handled properly can be a fun and rewarding time and does not have to become stressful at all.

Here’s five tips to get the process off to a good start:

1. Make sure your little girl is ready for learning to use the potty. Some children begin using the potty as early as 18 months, while others can be as old as 3 years. Starting too soon will not speed up the process as studies show children need to be ready before training begins.

2. Introduce your child to the potty and let her feel comfortable with it. Spend some time before training begins letting your child know that there is nothing to be afraid of and that using the potty is helping her become a big girl.

What is Baby Yoga? Baby yoga is comprised of moves that helps improve babies spines and teaches them coordination, flexibility and balance. Baby yoga helps control breathing and determines how they react to the world around them.

Yoga comes much more naturally to babies and children simply because many of the poses are actually movement babies perform in their quest to turn over, crawl and especially learn to walk.

Yoga is gentle but effective way for mothers to tone up their bodies, as well as a great way for mother and baby to have fun together.

Safety tips for Parents for their Infants

Date Posted: October 12th, 2008 Posted Under: Babies, Parenting

The most important concern for parents with infants is their safety due to their inability to express in a way that we could understand what they truly feel and when they are in trouble.

During this period, the child is very prone to injury with regards to the parenting skills, toys, and clothing. Infancy is when the child will either develop trust vs. mistrust according to Erickson’s Developmental Tasks. Lacking sufficient parenting skills could lead to improper feeding, failure to thrive, or could have an impact on their developmental delays. To prevent such to take place, here are some guidelines.

baby-1

Infants should be regularly monitored for growth and development. There are charts that offer adequate information with the growth and development of a person. This can be obtained from a health clinic or in the hospital. This will determine if the child is growing in a normal phase or not, if the age, height, and weight are proportionate. The parents should be aware of their development so they will know if they should contact a physician.

Infant-Parent relationships should be assessed during feeding activities. The mother should be willing to feed her child unconditionally. She should be familiar on how to handle her baby when feeding.

Activities. The parents should be able to manage their time very well to avoid stress. When the parents are stressed, the child could not be properly taken care of because the parents will only think of themselves and their own aspirations. Workload should be shared on both parents and assistance should be sought when they could not both handle the situation.

Toys and clothes should be selected properly. Toys and clothes with small parts that can easily be detached or not are not to be given to infants to avoid choking which could lead to death.
